Gwinnett County, Ga.- (Sept. 3, 2019)- The Democratic Party of Georgia-Gwinnett African American Caucus today announced Engage Gwinnett, a 2019 municipal candidates forum and Q&A with informational on Census 2020, that will be held on Monday Sept. 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville. GAAC will host the event in conjunction with Rep. Donna McLeod.
Participating candidates will include: Victoria Jones, candidate for City Council Seat 2 in Lawrenceville; Austin Thompson, candidate for City Council Seat 1 in Lawrenceville; Cherlon Mathias-Day, candidate for City Council in Peachtree Corners; and Donald Fairnot of Grayson, candidate for City Council Seat 2.
The event will include an opportunity for constituents to ask questions, and meet and greet candidates ahead of the Nov. 5 elections.
This event is free and open to the public.
