Gwinnett African American Caucus (GAAC) is honored to host National Chairwoman of the African American Caucus, Virgie M. Rollins, for an online session. This event is a must-attend as we discuss critical issues affecting our community, particularly the importance of voting and the current challenges faced in voting access across the country.

About Chairwoman Virgie M. Rollins:

Virgie M. Rollins, a respected leader from Benton Harbor, Michigan, currently serves as the Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Black Caucus. Her notable contributions include organizing African American Leadership Summits to address urban issues and serving as PAC Chair for the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW). With a history of groundbreaking leadership and fundraising achievements, Ms. Rollins has also been a dynamic advocate for women and social justice. Her dedication has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Michigan Democratic Black Caucus during the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s Walk for Freedom March.   She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Additionally, the Black Coalitions Director from the Democratic National Committee, Mr. Darrin Owens plans to participate in our round table discussion. He will have some comments to share with us directly from the White House.
