I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported me during my four years on the Lawrenceville City Council and throughout my campaign for re-election. Together, we made meaningful progress — advancing health, safety, transparency, engagement, access, diversity, equity, and inclusion. I will continue to serve with dedication on the Council Post 4, through December 31, 2025. I wish Councilman-Elect Harris the best as he begins his term next year.
For more than 23 years, I have served this community as a leader guided by faith and purpose. This campaign has always been about more than holding a seat — it’s been about service, faith in action, and standing up for people whose voices are too often unheard. We started courageous conversations, built bridges where there were divides, and reminded everyone that hope and change begin right here and now.
I do not rubber-stamp votes, I ask tough questions, insist on transparency, and never “go along to get along.” My integrity stands firm, even in the face of attacks to unseat me revealing the true character of my adversaries. As my Shero, Shirley Chisholm, powerfully declared: “Unbought and unbossed.” Therefore, my voice will not be silent.
I believe God’s plan is greater than our own, and I trust that this moment is part of something bigger. My faith refuses to fold. I am here for you. Please reach out. Our work continues — and so does my commitment to a stronger, more inclusive, and more compassionate Lawrenceville. With faith and determination, we’ll keep moving forward, together.
Making the City Thrive for All,
Councilwoman Marlene Taylor-Crawford, Ed.S.
